Is Gradescope a good fit for my course?

Updated

Gradescope works well for a wide variety of answer types: paragraphs, proofs, diagrams, fill-in-the-blanks, multiple choice, and more. Our biggest users so far have been high school and higher-ed courses in Math, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Economics, and Business — but we’re confident that our tool is useful to most subject areas and grade levels.

You can check out some examples of questions and Gradescope rubrics from other instructors. See an Economics assignment example below.

All instructor accounts also come pre-loaded with an Assignment Examples demo course, which includes discipline-specific exams developed by other educators who use Gradescope in their classroom. All assignments in this demo course are pre-loaded with sample rosters and submissions, so that you can try out grading right away. You can also use these demo materials to train colleagues and graders on how to grade on Gradescope. Read more in our demo courses article.
